Job summary

The International Rescue Committee in Washington, DC is seeking a Mental Health Advocate for the WARN program to support survivors of trafficking with one-on-one psychosocial support, psychoeducation, and group services. The role includes referrals, documentation, and crisis support, with collaboration across the WARN team.

You will recruit participants, coordinate logistics, and ensure culturally and linguistically appropriate care, using IRC software for documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in social services or related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English; Spanish or other languages a plus.
• Experience with refugee/immigrant populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychosocial support and health navigation referrals.
• Facilitate psychosocial groups and psychoeducation sessions.
• Document client interactions and program activities.
• Support logistics, recruitment, and crisis response when needed.
