Job summary

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) in Spokane, WA seeks a Case Management Specialist to provide trauma-informed services to refugees and immigrants, supporting a successful resettlement and client self-sufficiency. The role splits time between PIR (70%) and Home ARP (30%), coordinating housing, benefits, health care, and social services with a focus on individualized SMART goals.

Responsibilities include intake, service planning, financial assistance, and close collaboration with partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field preferred.
• Experience with refugees/immigrants strongly preferred.
• Fluent English, oral and written; other languages helpful.

Responsibilities

• Provide case management services across PIR and Home ARP programs.
• Coordinate timely pre- and post-arrival services, including housing, food, medical care and transport.
• Help clients find and apply for permanent housing and support move-in.
• Conduct intake, assess needs, develop self-sufficiency plans with SMART goals.
• Provide services including financial assistance, referrals to benefits, and health services.
• Ensure active clients receive meaningful interactions every 30–90 days.
• Document interactions per program requirements and input data into IRC systems.
• Collaborate with coworkers and partner organizations; supervise volunteers if needed.
• Use personal vehicle to travel and transport clients as needed.
