Job summary

Community Solutions is seeking dedicated staff to provide direct care and supervision for youth residents in a secure residential setting. You will collaborate with the team to develop individualized plans and support residents toward successful reintegration into their communities.

The role requires a High School Diploma with 4 years in social services or criminal justice; a Bachelor's is preferred. A valid driver’s license is required, and shift coverage may include early starts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma plus 4 years experience in the social service or criminal justice field.
• Bachelor's degree plus one year experience in the social service or criminal justice field preferred; substitution allowed with relevant experience.
• Experience with youth population preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Arrive 15 minutes before shift for shift change; may stay later.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and supervision to youth residents in a residential setting.
• Develop and implement individualized plans for each resident, in collaboration with other team members.
• Provide ongoing support and guidance to residents throughout their stay.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of resident progress and behavior.
• Ensure that all residents receive the necessary support and resources to successfully reintegrate into their communities.
• Conduct employment, job search and home confinement spot checks on each shift.
• Conduct common area, room searches and perimeter searches as assigned and document results.
• Conduct pat/pocket searches on all clients entering the facility and document results.
• Complete house counts every hour from Midnight to 8am and every 2 hours from 8am to 10pm and document results.
• Transport Clients as needed in a Company vehicle.
• Conduct monthly emergency drills.
• Secure urines from same sex clients and complete all required paperwork and electronic documentation.
• Supervise all client visitation. Sign all visitors and contractors in and out of the facility.
• Complete intake on all new arrivals prior to the end of your shift. Facilitate client orientation as assigned.
• Facilitate all client movement in and out of the facility.
• Monitor clients self-administration of medication.
