Job summary

ACH Child and Family Services is seeking a Youth Care Specialist to supervise youth in residential settings and provide a therapeutic, trauma-informed environment. You will support daily living skills, safety, and family reunification goals while adhering to program schedules and policies.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED (Bachelor’s in a human services field preferred) and at least six months of direct care experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in a human service field preferred.
• Six months of direct care and guidance experience with youth, young adults, or families preferred.
• Must have a valid Texas driver’s license and be willing to transport clients; may need to de-escalation training.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily supervision of clients and provide a therapeutic environment.
• Assist clients with daily living tasks and self-care skills.
• Provide behavioral support and crisis intervention as needed.
• Transport clients to appointments, activities, and visits.
• Maintain safety, confidentiality, and adherence to licensing standards.
• Collaborate with caseworkers and support systems to meet service goals.
