Job summary

Recovery Centers of America is seeking a Recovery Support Specialist to help ensure patient safety and engagement in a trauma-informed milieu. You will support daily activities, lead educational and recreational sessions, and collaborate with clinical staff to promote recovery-oriented care.

Responsibilities include crisis de-escalation, observation, documentation, and participation in a structured treatment environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in behavioral health or substance use treatment preferred.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills; able to work in fast-paced settings.
• Valid driver's license and a safe driving record, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient activities and perform safety checks.
• Lead educational and recreational activities for patients.
• Assist with crisis intervention and de-escalation.
• Document rounds, activity notes, and shift reports.
• Support trauma-informed, recovery-oriented care with the clinical team.
