Job summary

Recovery Centers of America is seeking a Recovery Support Specialist to provide direct patient support and supervision in substance use and behavioral health services. You will work under the Recovery Support Supervisor and collaborate with clinical staff to promote safety, engagement, and a therapeutic milieu.

Responsibilities include facilitating activities, monitoring behavior, assisting with crisis intervention, documenting care, and helping maintain trauma-informed, patient-centered

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year working in behavioral health and/or substance use disorder treatment preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with technology and documentation systems.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed approaches and 12-step modalities.

Responsibilities

• Monitors patient activities and completes documentation.
• Participates in direct patient care ensuring patient safety.
• Assists with patients' daily schedule and activities.
• Recognizes signs of distress and responds appropriately.
• Assists with crisis intervention and emergency response procedures.
• Communicates patient concerns to clinical and nursing staff.
• Handles patient belongings processing and discharge preparation.
• Maintains confidentiality and demonstrates professional communication.
