Job summary

The RCA - Recovery Centers of America Management Company is seeking a Recovery Support Specialist to provide direct support and supervision to patients in behavioral health services. You will collaborate with clinical teams, promote safety, and help maintain a structured recovery-focused environment.

The role involves facilitating activities, monitoring patient wellbeing, and contributing to a trauma-informed treatment milieu while documenting patient progress and collaborating with staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year experience in behavioral health and/or substance use disorder treatment preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with technology and systems; training provided as needed.
• Valid driver's license and a safe driving record (as applicable).

Responsibilities

• Monitors patient activities and completes documentation (rounds sheets, notes, end-of-shift reports).
• Provides direct patient care with trauma-informed approaches and supports safety.
• Assists with daily patient schedule activities and visitation processes.
• Recognizes distress signals and responds with appropriate de-escalation techniques.
• Supports crisis intervention and emergency response procedures as applicable.
• Maintains confidentiality and communicates concerns to clinical staff.
