Job summary

Chicanos Por La Causa seeks a Certified Peer Support Worker to lead the Women’s Housing Navigation shelter team, guiding day‑to‑day operations and coordinating complex cases. You will mentor staff, manage documentation, and partner with leadership to ensure high‑quality, trauma‑informed housing support services.

Qualifications

• Must be CPSW through a recognized New Mexico program
• Lived experience of mental health or substance use challenges
• Past work with homelessness or supportive housing is desirable
• Valid driver’s license and local travel ability
• Proficiency with basic computer applications including Microsoft Office and client management software

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to Housing Support Specialist team and oversee day‑to‑day operations
• Coordinate complex cases and support team development
• Maintain reporting, compliance tracking, and documentation with leadership
• Link clients to community resources and landlords to aid rapid rehousing
• Ensure trauma‑informed, client‑centered shelter environment and empower clients to advocate for themselves
