The Family Place in Dallas seeks a Child Care Provider to deliver nurturing, trauma-informed care and early childhood education to children in our shelter, creating a safe, stable, and developmentally rich environment during one of the most difficult moments in their lives.

You will plan activities, track progress, collaborate with the Program Director and volunteers, and communicate with families while maintaining accurate records and adhering to center policies to support children’s healing

Qualificações

• Trauma-informed care knowledge.
• Early childhood education expertise.
• Strong communication with parents and colleagues.
• Ability to maintain accurate documentation and observation records.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing staff development and trainings.
• Certification in Pediatric CPR and First Aid.

Responsabilidades

• Provide nurturing, trauma-informed care and developmentally appropriate activities.
• Plan and implement weekly activity plans across indoor/outdoor settings.
• Supervise daily care routines and maintain clean, safe classroom space.
• Observe, document, and portfolio progress for each child.
• Communicate with parents about daily interactions and progress.
• Collaborate with the Program Director, assistants, and volunteers on policies and procedures.
• Support and model professional, supportive interactions to promote healing.
