Job summary

The Family Place in Dallas, TX, seeks a Child Care Provider to deliver nurturing, trauma-informed care and developmentally appropriate education to children living in the shelter. You will plan activities, teach basic skills, supervise routines, and maintain a safe, clean classroom in partnership with the Program Director.

• BA/BS in a child-related field or equivalent.
• AA/AS in a child-related field + 1 year of child care experience.
• CDA credential + 2 years of child care experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan weekly activity plans that are developmentally appropriate.
• Maintain classroom structure following curriculum and guidelines.
• Teach basic skills and observe progress with records.
• Supervise mealtime, toileting, and routines for safety.
• Collaborate with the director, assistants, and volunteers.
• Complete documentation and logs for licensing compliance.
• Provide training and guidance to staff as needed.
