Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or higher in education
• Special Education teaching credential or SPED license required
• 3rd grade reading guarantee credential required
• Highly Qualified Teacher status preferred
• Experience with behaviorally challenged youth preferred
• Effective communication and judgment under pressure

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and delivery of standards-based instruction for students with disabilities.
• Develop and document IEP assessments, lessons, and progress reports.
• Collaborate with classroom teams to integrate academic and mental health services.
• Implement trauma-informed practices and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention as required.
• Help maintain safe, inclusive classroom environments aligned with state standards.
