Job summary

Educational Empowerment Group seeks an Intervention Specialist in Ohio to oversee Special Education services, compliance with IDEA and Ohio standards, and related interventions. The role requires close collaboration with classroom teachers to ensure IEP goals are taught and progress is tracked.

You will plan and deliver targeted instruction, develop IEPs, monitor progress, and maintain confidential records while coordinating with families to support student success.

Qualifications

• Current Mild to Moderate Intervention Specialist Licensure in Ohio.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with teachers/ staff/community.
• Demonstrated successful teaching experience preferred in an urban education setting.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Effective organizational skills with the ability to perform multiple tasks.
• Ability to meet established deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Insure that all students identified with a disability are given the same learning opportunities as non-disabled students;
• Work closely with the classroom teacher to meet student needs and ensure IEP goals are taught and followed;
• Plan and deliver instruction in the classroom or intervention room, in small group or 1-on-1 as needed to meet IEP goals;
• Allot time with each student based on IEPs and services;
• Write IEPs and gather information to write measurable goals;
• Meet compliance deadlines for IEPs and ETRs;
• Maintain and update Special Education Files;
• Facilitate Testing Accommodations during State testing;
• Establish effective working relationship with students’ families to facilitate progress toward IEP goals;
• Perform other duties as deemed appropriate by the Principal or Management Company.
