Job summary

The Golden Key Center for Exceptional Children's is seeking an Intervention Specialist to design and oversee educational programs for students in Specialized Services, advising teachers and staff on educational, behavioral and social functioning.

You will collaborate with school teams to develop data-based lesson plans aligned with state standards, monitor progress, and prepare IEP-related documents and meetings with a focus on student growth and family involvement.

Qualifications

• Has/maintains Ohio Department of Education credentials.
• Ability to develop and implement program improvements from evaluated data and best practices.
• Ability to analyze and present complex information clearly.
• Demonstrated flexibility, reliability and responsibility.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and time-management skills.
• Complies with ethical standards and district policies.
• Completes required trainings such as Blood-borne Pathogens and Educator Ethics.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with teachers to implement data-based techniques for student learning.
• Supports family involvement and engagement in program activities.
• Develops lesson plans aligned with state standards and district goals.
• Prepares and transmits IEPs and related documents on deadlines.
• Participates in IEP meetings and conduct evaluations as needed.
• Ensures substitute readiness with prepared lists and materials.
