Positive Education Program (PEP) Central Office in Cleveland, Ohio, is seeking an Intervention Specialist to lead standards-based instruction for students with disabilities. The role focuses on planning, delivering, and evaluating instructional programs aligned with Ohio standards and IEPs, while collaborating with classroom teams.

Requires SPED credentials, strong communication, and experience with behaviorally challenged youth.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; SPED credential preferred or required per assignment.
3rd grade reading guarantee credential required.
Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families and teams.
Ability to plan, document, and assess IEP-based instruction and progress.
Experience working with behaviorally challenged youth is preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead planning, managing, delivering and evaluating standards-based instruction for students with disabilities.
Coordinate with classroom teams to integrate education and mental health supports.
Design individualized programs (IEPs) and instructional plans aligned to Ohio standards.
Develop high-quality lesson plans and maintain documentation (IEPs, assessments, reports).
Implement Crisis Intervention with fidelity and maintain safety and engagement.
