Job summary

Compass Veterans Center in Shoreline, WA is seeking a Housing Case Manager to provide trauma-informed services to participants to secure and maintain housing. The role focuses on assessment, documentation, referrals, goal setting, advocacy, and coordinated service planning for veterans and other residents.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a social/human service setting related to housing and homelessness.
• Fluent reading, writing, and understanding skills in English.
• Experience working with vulnerable populations (veterans, families, people with barriers).
• Preferred: WA State Food Handlers Permit.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed case management using motivational interviewing and strength-based techniques.
• Write clear, objective case notes and maintain participant files and logs.
• Input data in HMIS and other case management systems.
• Identify barriers and connect participants to housing resources and services.
• Build relationships with community providers to address participant needs.
• Support housing stability through lease compliance, mediation, and advocacy.
• Develop and deliver life skills trainings and workshops.
