Job summary

Compass Housing Alliance in Seattle, WA, seeks a Housing Case Manager to provide trauma-informed services to participants. The role includes assessment, advocacy, coordination of housing resources, and collaboration with community providers to promote housing stability.

This unionized position offers a consistent Monday–Friday schedule and a $29.87/hour rate. As part of Compass Day Services, you’ll work with clients seeking refuge, meals, and access to housing navigation, counseling, and nursing

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a social/human service setting related to housing and homelessness.
• Experience with housing instability, mental health, substance use, and related barriers.
• Fluent reading, writing, and understanding skills in English.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with crisis situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed case management using motivational interviewing and strength-based techniques.
• Engage professionally and compassionately with participants in all settings and environments.
• Write clear, objective case notes and manages documentation in HMIS and other systems.
• Identify barriers and steps to overcome obstacles to program participation.
• Develop plans with Program Manager to support housing stability and equitable access.
• Coordinate with landlords, rental assistance programs and community services.
