Job summary

Urban Resource Institute is seeking a Crime Victims Case Manager to provide trauma-informed support to survivors of domestic violence in a hybrid in-office/remote schedule in New York. The role includes intake, safety planning, advocacy, court/agency accompaniment, and community referrals.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in Human Services and at least two years of case management experience, with a strong commitment to equity, confidentiality, and professional boundaries.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services required.
  • 2 years of case management experience preferred for victims of domestic violence.
  • Strong commitment to equity and social justice with high emotional intelligence (EQ).
  • Sensitivity/experience with domestic violence in disenfranchised communities.
  • Ability to write and record case documentation; strong communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct intakes and assess needs of survivors of gender-based violence.
  • Deliver services: safety planning, advocacy, crisis intervention, court accompaniment.
  • Provide information and referrals to legal, social, mental health services.
  • Build relationships with local social services, legal services, and law enforcement.
  • Participate in domestic violence committees and coalitions.
  • Maintain digital records and submit monthly reports.
  • Community outreach and education about services.
