Job summary

BHcare seeks a compassionate Domestic Violence Case Manager for the Umbrella Center for Domestic Violence Services (UCDVS) in Connecticut. You will provide trauma-informed advocacy, safety planning, and case management to survivors at high risk, helping connect them to essential resources and paths to safety.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree, crisis intervention skills, and Connecticut certification. Multilingual ability (EN/SP) is preferred; a valid driver’s license is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Experience with crisis intervention, advocacy, counseling, and case management.
• Knowledge of community resources and ability to connect clients with services.
• Ability to obtain Connecticut Domestic Violence Counselor Certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed case management, crisis intervention, counseling, advocacy, and outreach to high-risk survivors.
• Collaborate with clients to create safety/service plans using Danger Assessment and VIGOR.
• Connect clients with housing, healthcare, behavioral health, legal, employment, and other community resources.
• Support parents and children through safety planning, education, and development guidance.
• Coordinate referrals, advocate with partners, and assist with transport for shelter access.
