Job summary

BHcare seeks a Domestic Violence Case Manager in Shelton, CT. You will provide trauma-informed advocacy, case management, safety planning, and support services to survivors identified as high risk, helping connect them with housing, healthcare, legal, and community resources.

The role requires a 4-year degree, ability to obtain Connecticut DV Counselor Certification, and a valid driver’s license. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred and travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Knowledge of crisis intervention, advocacy, counseling, and case management practices.
• Ability to connect clients with community resources and supports.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed case management and crisis intervention to survivors of domestic violence.
• Develop personalized safety and service plans with clients.
• Connect clients to housing, healthcare, legal, employment, and other resources.
• Support parents and children through safety planning and education.
• Coordinate referrals and accompany clients to shelters or appointments.
