Job summary

House of Ruth is seeking a Case Manager to deliver client-centered services in the DC area, focusing on therapeutic relationships, strengths-based planning, and coordination with landlords for housing stability.

The role emphasizes intake, case planning, supportive counseling, and group facilitation within the Single and Families Program. A Bachelor's degree in social work is required; 1–2 years' experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work or related field required.
• 1-2 years’ experience in a case manager role.
• Experience working in a residential setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes intake referral interviews with the Assistant Program Coordinator.
• Orient new program participants and meet regularly with the participants in the office and in the community.
• Develop a therapeutic relationship, assess strengths and needs, formulates a case management plan and implements that plan.
• Complete and maintain accurate, thorough documentation reflecting all case management and counseling functions and activities.
• Communicate essential issues to collateral contacts. Gather and incorporate information from other sources regarding the participant.
• Identify resources including housing and link program participants to a comprehensive set of services.
