RHA Health Services is hiring a Behavioral Health Technician for the day shift. The role provides direct support and supervision to individuals in facility-based settings, ensuring safety and promoting well-being per the plan of care.

Responsibilities include de-escalation during crises, participation in therapeutic activities, and accurate documentation in the EHR. The position emphasizes trauma-informed, patient-centered care and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in behavioral health/crisis settings preferred but not required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care to individuals with psychiatric or co-occurring disorders, ensuring safety and well-being at all times.
• Leads or co-facilitates skills groups, recreational activities, psychoeducational sessions, and coping-skills practice as assigned.
• Identifies triggers and promptly reports concerns to clinical staff; uses trauma-informed, least-restrictive interventions.
• Documents observations and interventions in the electronic health record (EHR); participates in hand-offs and team meetings.
• Maintains professional boundaries, adheres to policies, and supports onboarding of new team members.
• Performs other duties to support health, safety, and well-being of individuals served.
