Job summary

RHA Health Services is hiring a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) for day shift to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental health, and substance use challenges. You will provide direct care, assist with ADLs, monitor behavior, and participate in therapeutic activities in a trauma-informed, person-centered environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in behavioral health, inpatient psychiatric care, crisis units, emergency departments, or residential treatment preferred but not required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care following the plan of care with supervision and monitoring.
• Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs) to promote autonomy.
• Monitor and document behavior, mood, sleep, and participation in programming.
• Lead or co-facilitate skills groups and activities as assigned.
• Respond to crises using de-escalation, grounding, and therapeutic engagement techniques.
