Job summary

RHA Health Services, LLC is hiring a Behavioral Health Technician for night shifts to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and mental health needs. The role focuses on direct patient care, safety, and therapeutic engagement in facility-based settings.

You will follow care plans, assist with ADLs, monitor behaviors, and participate in group activities while applying trauma-informed, least-restrictive practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in behavioral health settings preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Pre-employment screenings: background checks, education verification, drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and safety supervision at all times.
• Follow plan of care, observation levels, safety checks, and supervision.
• Assist with ADLs and promote autonomy.
• Monitor and document behavior, mood, sleep, intake/output, and participation in programming.
• Lead or co-facilitate skills groups and activities as assigned.
• Respond to crises using de-escalation techniques and trauma-informed care.
• Document observations and communicate with the interdisciplinary team.
