Job summary

RHA Health Services is hiring a Facility Based Crisis Behavior Technician for a regular, on-site role. You will provide direct support and supervision to individuals in crisis or residential settings, following treatment plans and ensuring safety.

Responsibilities include de-escalation, documenting in the EHR, leading activities, and collaborating with the care team to promote dignity and recovery in a trauma-informed environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in behavioral health, inpatient psychiatry, or crisis units preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and ensure safety and well-being at all times.
• Follow care plans, observation levels, safety checks, and supervision.
• Assist with activities of daily living and promote autonomy.
• Monitor and document behavior, mood, sleep, and participation in programming.
• Respond to crises using de-escalation and therapeutic engagement techniques.
• Document observations and interventions in the electronic health record; participate in interdisciplinary meetings.
