Job summary

Future Security is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to provide direct patient care in a behavioral health setting. The role supports treatment plans, monitors patient behavior, and helps maintain a safe, therapeutic environment under licensed professionals.

This PRN Day shift role includes crisis intervention, documentation, and collaboration with nurses and therapists. Training in de-escalation and BCLS is expected within 30 days; there is a standard 7am-7pm schedule with rotating

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a behavioral health, mental health, or healthcare setting.
• Experience working with patients with psychiatric disorders, developmental disabilities, or substance use disorders preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care and monitors safety needs for patients.
• Observes, documents, and reports patient behaviors to the healthcare team.
• Supports treatment plans and therapy under supervision.
• Engages patients in activities and coping strategies.
• Responds to crises and applies safety interventions.
• Conducts room checks and protects patient safety.
• Assists with vital signs and specimen collection as required.
• Collaborates with nurses and therapists to support progress.
• Maintains confidentiality and professional boundaries.
• Educates patients on coping and daily living skills.
