Job summary

BCFS Health and Human Services in Houston, TX, is seeking an Advocate to provide trauma-informed, relational advocacy and case management to survivors. The role requires immediate crisis response, safety planning, and coordination of ongoing services in alignment with program standards.

The Advocate will travel regionally, possibly overnight, and participate in an on-call rotation. Flexibility for after-hours coverage and adherence to BCFS policies are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, criminal justice, sociology, or closely related field.
• 2–3 years of case management and/or crisis intervention experience.
• Experience with victims of human trafficking, child abuse/neglect, or youth experiencing homelessness/addiction preferred.
• Must have reliable personal vehicle and be willing to travel regionally.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed advocacy and case management to survivors.
• Respond to crises, safety planning, and coordinate ongoing services.
• Maintain documentation and meet program/licensing requirements.
• Travel approximately 75% within the region; occasional overnight travel.
• Be available for after-hours, weekend crisis coverage.
