Job summary

RETTEW is seeking an experienced Transportation Engineer and licensed PE to lead our Transportation team in Region 1. The role focuses on expanding impact beyond project delivery, developing engineers and PMs, and strengthening client relationships across RETTEW's transportation practice.

You will partner with leadership to align resources, oversee project strategy, and drive growth while delivering quality projects on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Pennsylvania or licensure in another state with eligibility to obtain Pennsylvania reciprocity.
• Experience delivering projects for PennDOT or comparable state transportation agencies.
• Significant experience in transportation engineering with project-management responsibility.
• Strong technical knowledge of transportation engineering and project delivery including roadway/traffic projects.
• Experience leading, mentoring, supervising, or developing engineers, designers, PMs, or other professionals.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop transportation engineers, designers, and PMs, supporting growth and accountability.
• Partner with the Regional Director to set team priorities and support objectives.
• Provide leadership and oversight for transportation projects and client expectations.
• Serve as a resource for project strategy, technical challenges, and delivery decisions.
• Coordinate workload, staffing, and resources across RETTEW offices.
• Monitor financial performance, forecasting, and operational metrics.
• Maintain client and agency relationships and identify growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with Business Development on proposals, pursuits, and cross-selling.
• Promote consistent technical standards and quality across the practice.
