Job summary

RETTEW is seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer | Technical Lead to guide traffic engineering analyses, studies, designs, and deliverables within a hybrid work setting in Pennsylvania. You will mentor staff, establish technical approaches, and collaborate with project teams, clients, and agencies across multiple transportation projects.

The role emphasizes leadership in technical delivery, quality control, and ongoing development of RETTEW's traffic engineering capabilities while supporting business

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Active Professional Engineer license in Pennsylvania or able to obtain PA licensure.
• At least eight years of progressive experience in traffic engineering.
• Experience leading technical delivery or review of traffic engineering work.
• Experience with traffic operations, traffic impact, signal, corridor, safety, or access analyses.
• Experience using traffic analysis tools such as Synchro/SimTraffic, HCS, VISSIM.

Responsibilities

• Guide the technical delivery of traffic engineering assignments and lead project teams.
• Establish technical approaches and oversee complex analyses and deliverables.
• Review calculations, models, plans, and reports for accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, agencies, and other disciplines.
• Mentor staff and contribute to technical standards and templates.
• Assist in proposals and strategic pursuits and maintain industry knowledge.
