Job summary

MTM, Inc is hiring a Transportation Support Trainer in Wisconsin. The role focuses on training individuals in gas mileage reimbursement, long-distance travel, public transportation, MTM Mobile App usage, and related resources.

You will create presentations, lead group and one-on-one trainings, and travel throughout the state as needed. The position is hybrid (Monday–Friday) with some Wisconsin travel required.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years' experience in customer service.
  • 1+ year experience in training others
  • Must possess a Valid Driver's License
  • Demonstrated training skills and ability to lead groups
  • Ability to work with little supervision
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Identify and complete assessments on each applicant
  • Provide one-on-one, individualized training
  • Demonstrate transit skills to individuals
  • Instruct on travel routes, navigation, and way-finding
  • Instruct on self-advocacy
  • Create lesson plans for diverse learning levels
  • Research and present opportunities for outreach and referrals
  • Conduct group presentations
  • Build relationships with professionals and community organizations
  • Schedule trainings at optimal times for individuals
  • Provide in-class and field training
  • Complete reports and goal tracking
  • Maintain MTM HIPAA standards
  • Support special projects as needed
  • Undertake other duties as assigned

Job description

What will your job look like? Our Transportation Support Trainer is tasked with training individuals on the utilization of gas mileage reimbursement, long distance travel, public transportation, and the use of the MTM Mobile App. The role will educate individuals on a wide range of non-emergency travel resources and requirements. This may include training individuals in the use of MTM technology, program communication requirements, bus travel, schedule reading, and effective use of resources. The Transportation Support Trainer will also research, identify, create, and present presentations for program opportunities within the community. This position is a hybrid role (Monday-Friday). Some travel within the State of WI is required.

What you'll do:
  • Identify and complete assessments on each applicant
  • Provide one-on-one, individualized training
  • Demonstrate and instruct individuals on transit skills
  • Demonstrate and instruct individuals on how to travel routes including navigation and way-finding strategies
  • Instruct individuals on self-advocacy
  • Create lesson plans that are appropriate for individuals of different learning levels
  • Research and identify opportunities to enhance the referral program within the community, creating custom presentations for this outreach
  • Conduct group presentations
  • Establish relationships with professionals in the field, community and advocacy organizations
  • Schedule training at the time and means most appropriate for the individual
  • Provide in class and in-the-field training
  • Complete all reports and paperwork including but not limited to; goal setting and pre/post results tracking
  • Must conform to MTM’s HIPAA standards
  • Provide support on special projects as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
What you'll need:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2 + years' experience in customer service
  • 1 + year experience in training others
  • Must possess a Valid Driver's License
  • Skills: Demonstrated training skills, comfortable leading groups of people
  • Ability to accomplish duties/tasks with little direct supervision
  • Strong interpersonal skills that allow for effective working relationships
  • Intermediate level of proficiency or above with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, in all weather conditions
  • Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality
  • Familiarity with the transit agency system, preferred
  • Familiarity with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
  • Even better if you have... Associate's degree in Education, Human Services, or Healthcare preferred
  • Experience working with a community advocacy or similar organization, preferred

Salary Min: $19.66/hr Salary Max: $25/hr This information reflects the base salary pay range for this job based on current national market data. Ranges may vary based on the job's location. We offer competitive pay that varies based on individual skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
