Job summary

Vistar is seeking a transportation supervisor to lead and train drivers, ensure timely and safe deliveries, and support DOT compliance. The role focuses on overseeing schedules, driver logs, and paperwork while coordinating with the Transportation/Operations Manager to optimize daily operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• 2–4 years transportation or related experience with knowledge of DOT and safety regulations; experience with fleet management systems.
• Supervisory experience in transportation or related area.

Responsibilities

• Supervise drivers, including staffing, training, coaching, performance management and scheduling.
• Assist Transportation/Operations Manager with day-to-day admin of transportation and delivery functions.
• Ensure DOT and OpCo regulations are followed; monitor driver logs and related paperwork.
• Oversee vehicle maintenance reviews and ensure safe operations and cost efficiency.
• Coordinate driver data such as licenses, tickets, accidents and safety data.
