Job summary

Core-Mark, a Performance Food Group Company, is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to oversee driver supervision, safety, and DOT compliance. This role focuses on timely deliveries, training, and payroll coordination with a strong emphasis on risk management.

The position requires supervising staff and coordinating with the Transportation/Operations Manager to ensure efficient routing and cost control. Opportunities exist within a Fortune 150 company with solid benefits and growth.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years transportation supervisory or related experience including knowledge of DOT and safety regulations
• Experience operating computerized fleet management systems
• Intermediate Microsoft Office knowledge
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills

Responsibilities

• Supervises staffing, training, coaching, performance management and problem resolution.
• Assists in scheduling and ensures deliveries/pickups are timely; rides with drivers for training/evaluation.
• Monitors DOT logs and driver compliance with DOT/OpCo regulations; maintains records.
• Oversees vehicle safety, ramps, handcarts, seat belts and safe lifting practices.
• Coordinates driver data such as license status, tickets, accidents and risk data.
• Ensures delivery and driver paperwork is complete and accurate.
• Maintains trucks, tractors and trailers through post-trip inspections.
• Helps minimize operating expenses and optimize deliveries.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
