Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a senior transportation leader to guide a team responsible for inbound/outbound lanes, cost-to-serve analysis, and network optimization across distribution centers. You will drive cross-functional collaboration to deliver reliable, cost-efficient logistics solutions.

The role partners with Legal, Finance, Sales, Systems, and the 3PL team, translating complex analytics into actionable insights for executives, with travel around 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in transportation analytics, network design, or data modeling.
• Proficiency in Power BI and Tableau.
• Knowledge of domestic transportation modes and warehousing operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of transportation executives overseeing day-to-day operations.
• Identify opportunities to improve logistics capabilities and service optimization for 3PL customers.
• Optimize routing, location, and carrier strategies across the transportation team.
• Design, implement, and maintain customer solutions delivering mutual value.
• Conduct cost-to-serve and fleet equipment analyses to support strategic decisions.
• Support Account Management on regular business calls to review strategies and performance.
• Lead transportation cost modeling and support customer contract negotiations.
• Develop and operationalize new logistics capabilities through standardized processes.
• Build and maintain cross-enterprise relationships to inform decisions.
• Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Supply Chain Planning, Sales, Systems, and carriers to ensure alignment.
• Translate transportation analytics into clear, actionable insights for executives.
