Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Transportation Consultant to support data analysis, planning, and optimization of transportation operations across the supply chain. You will drive improvements in service, cost, and performance while coordinating with cross‑functional teams.

The role emphasizes data‑driven recommendations, execution of transportation strategies, and effective collaboration with 3PL providers. Strong analytical skills and project management experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in logistics, supply chain, business administration or related field is preferred.
• PMP or Lean Six Sigma certifications are a plus.
• 4+ years in transportation, logistics, or supply chain management, with focus on fleet operations or carrier management.
• Proven project management experience with multi‑step projects and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Conduct data analysis of the transportation network to identify cost reductions and service improvements.
• Lead transportation-related projects from conception to completion within scope, timelines, and budgets.
• Serve as liaison between internal teams and external 3PL carriers to align strategies.
• Develop, monitor, and analyze KPIs for fleet performance and identify trends.
• Manage project budgets and timelines to ensure on-schedule delivery within financial parameters.
• Identify opportunities for standardization and improvement across transportation operations.
• Proactively resolve transportation challenges using data and collaborative problem solving.
