Job summary

US Foods in Livermore, CA, seeks a Manager of Transportation to lead drivers and Transportation associates, shaping safety-first operations and efficient outbound shipments. You will coach staff, enforce policy, and collaborate with senior managers to meet cost and service targets.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in transportation or warehousing, 1+ year of supervisory experience, and strong leadership, communication, and DOT knowledge to drive a safe, compliant, and cost-effective distribution

Qualifications

Minimum of three years in transportation/delivery or warehouse distribution.
Minimum of one year overseeing a workforce.

Responsibilities

Lead with a safety mindset to protect associates, customers, and the public.
Oversee drivers and Transportation staff through coaching and policy training.
Discuss performance with management and address gaps with improvement plans.
Direct and supervise drivers and clerical staff to meet goals and safety targets.
Recruit and develop Transportation personnel, review performance, and enforce standards.
Schedule shifts and manage routes to ensure timely outbound shipments.
