Job summary

US Foods is seeking a Manager, Transportation to drive a safety-first culture while leading a team of drivers and Transportation associates. You will coach, train, and develop staff, ensure compliance with DOT regulations, and optimize daily outbound shipments to customers and other distribution centers.

The role emphasizes cost-conscious operations, performance reviews, and collaboration with Transportation leadership to maintain high service levels and regulatory adherence.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience in transportation/delivery or warehouse distribution.
• Minimum of one year of experience overseeing a workforce.
• Experience as a driver is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of DOT requirements and safety regulations.
• Ability to interpret financial and operational data.

Responsibilities

• Lead with a safety mindset to promote a safety-first culture in Transportation.
• Oversee and develop drivers and Transportation associates through coaching and training.
• Set performance expectations and create improvement plans with Sr. Transportation Managers.
• Schedule shifts and manage daily outbound shipments to ensure accuracy and customer satisfaction.
