Job summary

US Foods is seeking a Manager, Transportation to lead a safety‑driven, cost‑conscious transportation operations culture. You will guide drivers and Transportation associates, ensuring safe, accurate, and timely outbound shipments to customers and other distribution centers.

The role requires building high‑performing teams, coaching staff, monitoring DOT compliance, and driving continuous process improvements while balancing service and cost in a 3:00am–1:00pm schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience in transportation, delivery, or warehouse distribution.
• Minimum of one year of experience overseeing a workforce.
• Experience as a driver is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety-first culture in the Transportation department.
• Coach drivers and associates, ensure training in policy and safety.
• Monitor performance, set goals, and review with senior managers.
• Schedule shifts and manage DOT compliance.
• Oversee and develop drivers and Transportation staff through coaching and training.
