Job summary

US Foods is seeking a Manager, Transportation to lead the transportation department with a safety-first culture, delivering cost-efficient and reliable service. You will oversee drivers and transportation staff, coach performance, ensure DOT compliance, and partner with other departments to meet delivery goals and customer needs.

The role requires three years in transportation or warehousing, at least one year leading a team, strong leadership and communication skills, and willingness to travel

Qualifications

Minimum of three years of experience in transportation/delivery or warehouse distribution.
Minimum of one year of experience overseeing a workforce.
Experience as a driver is a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead with a safety mindset to keep drivers and the public injury-free.
Oversee and develop drivers and Transportation staff through coaching and training.
Coach and address performance gaps with Sr. Transportation Managers.
Foster upward communication and motivate the team to meet goals.
Schedule shifts and supervise work across the Transportation department.
Maintain DOT compliance and safety standards.
Investigate accidents and implement corrective actions.
