Job summary

US Foods in the United States is seeking a Transportation Manager to lead a team of drivers and transportation associates, focusing on safety, service, and cost efficiency. You will guide daily outbound shipments to customers and other distribution centers, while ensuring DOT compliance and high performance.

This role requires developing personnel, coaching, scheduling shifts, and maintaining safety culture with strong leadership and reporting into the Transportation leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience in transportation/delivery or warehouse distribution.
• Minimum of one year of experience overseeing a workforce.
• Experience as a driver is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead with a safety mindset to maintain a safety-first culture in Transportation.
• Oversee and develop drivers and Transportation associates through coaching and training.
• Discuss performance with Sr. Transportation Managers and create improvement plans.
• Direct and supervise work and productivity of drivers and clerical staff in Transportation.
• Schedule shifts and manage DOT compliance and operational targets.
