Job summary

WM in Erie, PA is seeking a Transportation Manager to lead the residential line, overseeing 15–18 drivers and helpers. The role emphasizes hands-on field leadership, coaching, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The manager will onboard and develop staff, conduct ride-alongs, and address performance while maintaining strong relationships with customers and adhering to WM standards.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree (accredited) or in lieu of a degree, High School Diploma (accredited) and two (2) years of relevant work experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the country where the position is located.
• Driver's License valid upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead the residential line of business in Erie, PA and supervise 15–18 drivers and helpers.
• Oversee onboarding, development, coaching, and performance management of all drivers and helpers.
• Spend the majority of the workday in the field supporting employees, conducting ride-alongs, and reinforcing safety and operational standards.
• Ensure safety practices are paramount and lead by example.
• Document and maintain records required by regulatory agencies such as the Department of Transportation.
