The Transportation Manager is responsible for leading the residential line of business in Erie, PA. This role oversees a team of approximately 15 to 18 drivers and helpers, ensuring safe, efficient, and customer-focused service while maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
A key responsibility of this position is the onboarding, development, coaching, mentoring, and performance management of all drivers and helpers. The Transportation Manager establishes and maintains positive working relationships with drivers and helpers, serving as a visible and hands-on leader who spends the majority of the workday in the field supporting employees, conducting ride-alongs, observing performance, providing coaching, and reinforcing safety and operational standards.
