Job summary

dfa is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to oversee drivers at the designated terminal or distribution center. You will create driver schedules, supervise daily activities, and optimize routes for efficiency and cost control, while upholding safety and customer service standards.

You will collaborate with fleet maintenance, HR, and management to coach drivers, enforce policies, and ensure compliance with DOT and industry regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 to 5 years of distribution, logistics and/or transportation experience with leadership attributes.
• Class A CDL license preferred and current medical card preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily direction to drivers to ensure safe, efficient operations and meet customer requirements.
• Monitor daily activity and adjust loads while communicating with related teams.
• Maintain up-to-date routes and utilize routing software to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Create and approve driver schedules, monitor timekeeping, and address overtime to meet goals.
• Ensure all load-related paperwork is completed for DOT reporting and records.
