Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America, Inc. in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to oversee drivers at the terminal and/or distribution center, creating schedules and implementing safe, efficient routing and delivery solutions to meet customer requirements.

You will train and coach drivers, monitor daily activity, coordinate with fleet maintenance, HR, and supervisors, and manage DOT paperwork while leading performance improvements to deliver high service levels.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2 to 5 years of distribution, logistics and/or transportation experience with leadership.
• Class A CDL in state required.
• Endorsements: tanker, doubles or triples as required.
• Must read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily work direction to professional drivers to ensure safe and efficient operations and to meet customer requirements.
• Monitor daily activity and adjust load assignments and instructions as needed.
• Maintain routes and use routing software to improve efficiency and cost.
• Create and approve driver schedules, manage timekeeping, and monitor overtime.
• Ensure daily paperwork for loads, DOT reporting, and maintenance is complete.
• Prepare operational KPI reports and communicate performance results.
• Collaborate with maintenance, HR, and supervisors to address issues and training.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in on-call rotation if applicable.
