Job summary

US3665 Sygma Virginia (The Sygma Network, Inc) seeks a supervisor to support the Transportation Manager in delivering and coordinating delivery and backhauls. You will train staff, enforce safety standards, and ensure regulatory compliance to maintain efficient operations.

Responsibilities include supervising daily activities, ensuring DOT/OSHA compliance, managing schedules and budgets, and collaborating with warehouse and customer service teams to resolve delivery issues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 2–4 years transportation experience or related training.
• College degree in Business/Supply Chain preferred.
• Class A CDL preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of FMCSA and DOT regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervises daily work and safety of Transportation Associates, ensuring SOPs and safety standards are followed.
• Ensures compliance with local, state and federal regulations (DOT, OSHA) and accurate electronic logs.
• Manages labor hours and budgeted supplies; prepares schedules with shifts as needed.
• Trains new associates and cross-trains existing staff.
• Oversees asset utilization and coordinates repairs with relevant departments.
• Reviews delivery productivity and implements efficiency improvements.
