Job summary

The SYGMA Network is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to support the Transportation Manager/Director in overseeing delivery and backhaul operations. The role includes training staff, regulatory compliance, and promoting safety within the department.

Ideal candidates will have a GED or higher, 2–4 years in transportation, and a background in business/management. DOT and safety training are valued assets for this position.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of FMCSA and DOT rules and regulations.
• Ability to lead and develop transportation staff.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance in daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities and safety of Transportation Associates.
• Ensure compliance with DOT/OSHA regulations and maintain accurate logs.
• Manage labor hours and budgeting for supplies.
• Train new and existing staff; coordinate cross-training.
• Collaborate with warehouses and customer service to resolve delivery issues.
• Lead policy enforcement and incident investigations; uphold food safety standards.
