Job summary

Sysco seeks an experienced Transportation Supervisor to support the manager in delivering reliable delivery and backhaul operations. You will train associates, enforce safety standards, and ensure DOT/OSHA compliance while optimizing routes and customer service.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and the ability to manage schedules, with willingness to work non-traditional hours as needed. CDL/Regulatory knowledge is valued.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED, with preferred college-level business or supply chain studies.
• 2–4 years of transportation experience or training.
• Class A CDL and DOT training are preferred.
• Strong knowledge of DOT and OSHA regulations and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily transportation operations and safety of associates.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and accurate electronic logs.
• Oversee labor hours and budget for supplies.
• Coordinate training and cross-training of staff.
• Direct use of company assets to support delivery.
• Collaborate with warehouse and customer service to resolve issues.
• Review productivity reports and suggest efficiency improvements.
• Maintain communications regarding policies and procedures.
