Job summary

US Foods in Marrero, LA is seeking a Transportation Manager to lead a team of drivers and transportation staff, ensuring safe, efficient and compliant operations for outbound shipments to customers and other distribution centers.

You will supervise drivers and clerical staff, coach on safety and performance, and collaborate with leadership to meet service and cost targets while maintaining a zero-tolerance for injuries and errors.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in transportation/delivery or warehouse distribution.
• Minimum 1 year overseeing a workforce.
• Knowledge of DOT requirements.
• Experience as a driver is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead with a safety mindset across the Transportation department.
• Oversee and develop drivers and transportation associates.
• Coach on policy, procedures and performance; lead by example.
• Ensure DOT compliance and safe, timely outbound shipments.
