Job summary

US Foods, Inc. in Allentown, PA is seeking a Manager, Transportation to lead a safety-first transportation team and ensure efficient, compliant outbound shipments to customers and distribution centers. The role emphasizes people development, cost awareness, and excellent service.

Requires minimum 3 years as a CDL-A Driver Manager and a Monday–Friday schedule (8 am–6 pm). Travel is indicated and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience in transportation/delivery or warehouse distribution required.
• Minimum of one year of experience overseeing a workforce required.
• Experience as a driver a plus.
• Broad knowledge of transportation/delivery operations, methods and procedures.
• Strong leadership, communication and people development skills.
• Strong understanding of DOT requirements; familiarity with inventory control and OSHA.

Responsibilities

• Lead with a safety mindset to keep associates, customers, and the public injury-free.
• Oversee and develop drivers and Transportation staff through coaching and policy training.
• Manage performance, set development plans, and address gaps with leadership.
• Direct and supervise work to achieve department goals and cost targets.
• Schedule shifts and manage onboarding of transportation personnel.
