Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. is seeking a Transportation Manager II in Wisconsin to lead driver management, schedule coverage, and ensure DOT compliance while coordinating with customers and internal teams.

You will oversee fleet operations, payroll, safety programs, and reporting, with a schedule (5:00pm–5:00am, Sun–Tue and alternating Saturdays). The role requires strong communication and the ability to handle multiple priorities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 2–3 years of transportation/logistics experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Transportation/Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain positive professional relationships with drivers and safety teams.
• Fill in for absent personnel and support special fleet projects.
• Train drivers and employees on internal and third-party systems.
• Analyze fleet operations and profitability; measure KPIs and report to customers.
• Manage inventory, assets, and driver assignments to balance equipment.
• Handle payroll, counseling, and documentation; resolve pay issues and generate reports.
• Oversee yard and maintenance; coordinate with maintenance for timely services.
• Resolve service, routing, mechanical, and pay-related issues with drivers and customers.
• Maintain safety culture with daily safety messages and training.
• Assign loads, plan routes, monitor freight movement, and adjust ETAs as needed.
