J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. in Monroe, Ohio seeks a Transportation Manager II to oversee direct driver management, ensure safe and on-time freight movement, and maintain DOT compliance.

You will allocate loads, coordinate routing, and provide customer-focused service while managing shifts including nights and weekends. The role requires strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills, plus experience in transportation/logistics and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Formación

• High School Diploma/GED and 2-3 years of experience in transportation/logistics, business administration, account management, and/or equivalent military experience
• Ability to work across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends
• Strong professional communication skills and ability to build healthy relationships
• Experience in analyzing situations and making informed decisions
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and ability to manage multiple priorities

Responsabilidades

• Build and maintain positive professional relationships with drivers and safety to minimize turnover and maximize productivity
• Fill in for absent personnel and work on special projects to optimize fleet operations and profitability
• Train and orient drivers and staff, including use of internal and third-party systems
• Analyze fleet operations and profitability; report on KPIs and financial analysis for customers
• Plan loads, route, monitor freight movement, and handle exceptions and driver ETA adjustments
