Job summary

US Foods, Inc. is seeking a Manager, Transportation to lead a 30-driver team across three Maryland domiciles (Upper Marlboro, Savage, Frederick). The role drives safety, cost controls, and service excellence with CDL-A drivers in a food-distribution setting.

Schedule is Mon-Fri, 4 am - 2 pm, with travel around 10% and a base salary in the $75k–$115k range. Responsibilities include coaching drivers, ensuring DOT compliance, and continuous process improvement to deliver on-time shipments from

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience in transportation/delivery or warehouse distribution.
• Minimum of one year of experience overseeing a workforce.
• Experience as a driver a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety-first transportation culture and coach staff.
• Oversee driver development and policy training.
• Manage performance and hiring with supervisors.
• Ensure on-time outbound shipments and DOT compliance.
• Identify waste and improve processes.
• Conduct routine Safety and Driver Meetings.
